MAJAK

- on this screen, you will find a sleeping man with your escape transport, the taxi
- click on the lighthouse entrance to enter it
- click on the cupboard to reveal a kettle and some jars
- turn the handle once to pour water into the kettle
- pour coffee once into the kettle
- click on the kettle to pick it up and put the kettle over the fire at the top of the lighthouse
- wait for the kettle to boil
- exit the house and click on the rope to ring the bell
- the sleeping man will open his mouth, this is the time to pick up the kettle and pour hot coffee into his mouth
- he will wake up
- now click on the area that you were standing at when you enter this area to exit the building
- the contraption at the foot of the hill has a pump and a balloon on top of it
- click on the balloon to pick it up
- now click on the winding path to climb up the mountain

- there is a pipe on the right
- next to the pump on the left side is a place that you can place your balloon
- click on it to place your balloon
- click on the longest weed to pick it up (tallest plant)
- there is a sleeping seal-like creature on the top of the mountain to the right
- click on it's nose to tickle it and make it sneeze, causing the pitchfork which was previously stuck to land in the bucket
- click on the pitchfork to move some feed into the feeding area
- you need to move the handles on the bottom left to coordinate with the feeding seals so that the bubbles that they release will be captured by the pipe
- also, you need to be quick to click on the pump at the top of the left mountain to absorb the bubble's air into your own balloon
- you need to absorb the bubbles before they pop
- do this three times to expand the balloon to it's maximum
- click on the expanded balloon to pick it up
- once you have the expanded balloon, click on samorost/guy in white suit to exit the area with your new item

- put the expanded balloon on the contraption, back at where you got it from
- there's a place that you can click on the taxi that is just next to it's mast/pole
- click on that area to climb onto the taxi
- now, timing is required here. if you fail to refuel the ship you need to do add more air into the balloon again, meaning another climb up the mountain for air refill
- click on the area again to make the guy in white suit jump, causing the taxi to go down
- click on the handle that releases the air in the balloon when your ship is positioned just right for the pump to connect
- immediately click on the pump that will cause the pipe to connect to the taxi and refuel it
- you know you've succeeded if the animation shows a bulge coming out of the contraption and into the taxi
- if you don't succeed here, it's another trip up the mountains to refill air into the balloon

- once you have filled up the taxi with fuel, click on the rope to ring the bell again
- the ending sequence will begin
- watch the cutcene
- Congratulations! You have completed Samorost 2.

Excellant walk through to get people going. Once I "got it" I was able to figure out stuff myself. It's a pretty cool little weird/sureal game actually. It was over way too soon! Definitely looking forward to Samorost 3!

Thanks for the helpful walkthrough for this very charming FLASH game.

(It was a relief for me to find out I was on the right track and it was just a *timing* issue to solve some puzzles)

Alas, … the game ended too quickly! Waiting on Samorost3.

I am on lesik and cannot get the pipe. I clicked on the man and then tried the bells on his hat but pipe.

I nearly went mad doing this level. I worked it all, but kept losing the gas in the balloon through not knowing what to do next, and got really bored having to refill the balloon again and again! Will have another go now, and hope to succeed. Have loved all the samorost levels in games 1 and 2. Got into it through Questionnaut (amanita website and BBC Bytesize)

I thoroughly enjoyed Samorost 1 and 2!! I love the visuals, the music and sound effects. Thanks soo much for this walkthrough. Had I not checked I would've kept giving the bells off the man's hat to the bird and checking to see if the pouch was in the nest forever!

So much fun can't wait for Samorost 3!!

gotta love the drinking and driving in the final animation sequence. nice going guys. good game and all, but that bit was unnecessary and definitely un-cool.

What a wonderful little game, the graphics are beautiful and so imaginative. I love Eastern European animation, so different from the west.

"I am on lesik and cannot get the pipe. I clicked on the man and then tried the bells on his hat but pipe."

Walkthrough for LESIK omits the detail to click on bird's nest (while bird is distracted by the bell) to release the Pipe.

Otherwise, (as far as I can tell) an excellent walkthrough, tyvm! :D I couldn't have solved the game without it.

A beautifully done and fun game. Style of play is new to me; and, I'm looking at this as an introduction to Machinarium.

I found it, so no help needed anymore. It was on top of that machine next to "taxi".
Should have read better...

You dont have to refill the balloon again if you mess up. it shows the balloon deflate but it still fuels the ship if you try again

Really useful walthrough for a nice intro to Machinarium. The things I missed were a bit frustrating. I had tried clicking everywhere and there was some place I had missed.
Machinarium itself has a better user experience, in this way. While it's possible to get stuck on a specific puzzle (looked for a long while to find a tic-tac-toe piece, for instance), there are many ways to see exactly what's happening, especially with the hints.
Something else which was improved in Machinarium was the fact that objects were all at arm's length. Helps in both gameplay and logic.

In this S2 Walkthrough, it would have been useful to realize further trips to the mountain weren't needed. After the first time, they get old.
Thankfully, the timing with the bellow and the switch isn't too difficult. I actually used the bellow before the switch, which seemed "safer."

Looking further to new games from Amanita. Especially if they can develop them in something besides Flash.

Anyhoo, thanks a lot for this walkthrough.

Really great visuals and an odd perspective of an alternative universe. I really enjoyed it.

But, as with many of these kinds of flash games, the clicking around in random locations to find the hot spot was kind of tedious. Most spots were logical or had a visual aid if you looked closely, but some, like clicking at the base of the mast on the taxi, are the type I am referring to. Wander the mouse around until it changes to a hand.

Thanks for the walkthrough; I hate it in these sorts of games when I know _what_ I want to do, I just can't work out how to do it...

For the refueling problem, I found, for whatever reason, that pumping the slider and working the bellows straight away never worked the first time - nothing would come out of the pump. Then the second time I worked the bellows, stuff would come out, but too late to get in the ship. After a few tries I just assumed it wouldn't work the first time; load balloon, work pump, work bellows, THEN get on ship. Jump, then work the bellows a second time. Worked a treat.

big fan of all the games. i live in la, and i can't wait for you guys to come out with the next. really anxious for machinarium 2? is it in the works? the art and the puzzles are just so engaging and clever. but not too hard, just right. i first saw machinarium on iPad, and now i just completed sam 1 and 2. i just wish there was more. great job and keep up the clever creations!

...but how will the little guy manage now when his rocket has crashed to that other place? How can there be Samorost 3?

You can load the balloon's contents into the pump first (using the pull handle), and then jump on the ship and work the bellows once it's lined up.

Omg the taxi thing took forever. First - I got to the mountain without the balloon so I could do everything in that scene except filling the balloon - which I couldn't go back and get? Must be some sort of error. Then with the balloon it took me three tries before realizing you don't have to click the pump fast - but you need to release the content of the balloon into the pump and then lower the taxi and click the pump to refuel. PHEW!

On the right! Rally!? Maybe it is not pipe. Maybe it is chimney and maybe it is on far left!!
Thanks for the walkthrough. Discovering most of those has been the real treat.

WTF, I refuelled the ship, woke up the taxist, the door opened, I clicked on it, and everything froze!!! No final sequence. I guess I will have to dream it myself.
